AAA Drain Cleaning Services | ABN 54 990 742 917 | Last updated: 7 September 2026
AAA Drain Cleaning Services (AAA, we, us or our) respects the privacy of customers and website visitors. This policy explains the kinds of personal information we may collect, why we collect it, how we may use or disclose it, how we protect it and how you can contact us about your information. This policy applies to information collected online and offline in connection with enquiries, bookings and services.
Depending on how you deal with AAA, we may collect your name, telephone number, email address, service/property address, suburb, booking details, description of the drainage problem, service history, communications, customer instructions, signed/electronic agreements, invoices and payment-status information, photographs or CCTV drain footage connected with the job, and other information you choose to provide. We may also collect ordinary website/device information such as IP address, browser/device information, page interactions, referral source and analytics/cookie information where those tools are enabled.
AAA may accept payment using EFTPOS or another approved payment provider. AAA does not intend to store full payment-card numbers on the website. Payment providers and financial institutions process payment information under their own systems and privacy/security arrangements.
We may collect information directly from you through phone calls, SMS, email, website forms, online booking/acceptance, signed forms and in-person dealings. We may also receive information from a person authorised to arrange work for a property, a property manager or other legitimate referral source, or from website/communications service providers used to operate the business.
We may use personal information to respond to enquiries; assess and schedule work; calculate/confirm travel and after-hours charges; provide drain-clearing, CCTV and locating services; communicate about a booking; record acceptance of terms and authorisation of additional work; issue invoices/receipts; maintain job and business records; handle complaints or disputes; protect safety and property; comply with legal/regulatory obligations; operate, secure and improve the website; and analyse website performance.
AAA should not treat acceptance of Customer Service Terms as consent to unrelated marketing. If AAA later sends promotional electronic marketing, the website should use any separate consent/opt-out mechanism required by applicable law. Customers can ask AAA to stop direct marketing communications.
AAA may disclose information where reasonably necessary to service providers that help operate the website, hosting, email/SMS, booking, analytics, accounting/invoicing, payment processing, IT/security or document storage. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, insurers, regulators, law enforcement or courts where reasonably necessary or required by law. If a customer asks AAA to help obtain a repair quote, relevant job information may be provided to a third-party contractor with the customer’s authority or where otherwise lawful.
Some technology, hosting, analytics, communications or cloud providers may process or store information outside Australia. The exact locations can depend on the providers selected by the website developer and AAA. The developer must identify the actual third-party services used so the final legal review can confirm whether more specific overseas-disclosure wording is required.
The website may use necessary cookies and, if enabled, analytics or advertising technologies to operate the site, understand usage and measure enquiries/conversions. The developer must configure the website so the Privacy Policy accurately reflects the tools actually installed. Do not claim Facebook/Meta retargeting, Google Ads remarketing or other tracking is used unless it is actually installed. If consent controls are legally or technically required for the chosen tools, implement them.
AAA may create photographs, videos or CCTV drain footage as part of diagnosing, documenting or performing a job. Job material may be retained as part of the service record and may be supplied to the customer where the purchased service includes it. AAA should not publish identifiable customer/property material for advertising or social media without appropriate permission.
When a customer accepts Customer Service Terms online, AAA may retain the customer’s name, acceptance timestamp, terms version, booking details, electronic signature/typed name and ordinary technical audit information generated by the platform.
These records are used to administer the service and evidence the agreement.
AAA will take reasonable steps appropriate to the business and systems used to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Measures may include HTTPS, access controls, strong passwords/MFA, secure devices, reputable cloud/service providers and limiting access to information required for business purposes. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
AAA may retain customer, service, agreement, invoice, communication, photograph/CCTV and transaction records for as long as reasonably required for business, legal, tax, insurance, dispute, warranty/consumer-law or recordkeeping purposes. When information is no longer reasonably required and no legal reason requires retention, AAA should take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it.
You may contact AAA to ask what personal information AAA holds about you or to request correction of information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. AAA may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit a request where permitted by applicable law.
If you have a privacy question or complaint, contact AAA using the details below. AAA will review the issue and respond within a reasonable time. If the Privacy Act 1988 applies to AAA in the circumstances, additional rights and complaint avenues may apply.
Many Australian small businesses with annual turnover of $3 million or less are exempt from the Privacy Act 1988 unless an exception applies. AAA is adopting this Privacy Policy as its business privacy standard; the policy should not state or imply that AAA is an APP entity unless the legal team confirms that the Privacy Act applies or AAA has opted in.
AAA may update this policy when business practices, website tools, service providers or legal requirements change. The current version should be published on the website with its Last updated date.
