CCTV drain inspection allows AAA to visually inspect accessible sections of a drainage line after clearing or as a standalone diagnostic service. It can help identify recurring obstructions, roots, displaced joints, cracks, damaged sections and other visible conditions.

Camera travel and image quality can be limited by standing water, tight bends, contamination, severe damage or an obstruction. A CCTV inspection does not guarantee that every part of a drainage system can be viewed.

Electronic locating can be used, where conditions allow, to indicate the position of the camera head or an identified defect from above ground. It is a diagnostic aid and is not a substitute for the underground-service locating and safety procedures required before excavation.

• CCTV + electronic locating: $450.

If the inspection identifies a defect requiring structural repair, excavation or pipe replacement, that repair is separate from AAA’s service and can be quoted by an appropriate contractor.
